For people who know the basics and would like to expand their playing techniques in a relaxed group setting.

This workshop features two great classic songs: Roberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly With His Song" and The Association's "Windy", with beautiful chord variations, both in terms of the notes played, and fingerings that join them together, and longer strumming patterns than usual (mostly consisting of 8 beats, vs more common 4 beat patterns). Both have great singable melodies intertwined with these chords and strumming patterns in ways that fun to perform. Lastly, Windy has melodic parts that are very satisfying to play.

In-person & Zoom options
Learn to play the uke from scratch, or to review basics in a small group setting (6-8 people).
No prior experience required.
Learn simple popular & folk songs in a variety of styles (see songs below).
Special emphasis is placed upon creating characteristic grooves and strumming patterns.
